アシアナ航空のA380ビジネスクラスを発券しましたが、欲を言えばファーストクラスの座席に乗りたいと考えてみました。
とりあえず、ファーストクラスの座席は解放されるのかどうか、また解放される場合座席指定できる条件は何なのかを確かめるべくアシアナ航空に電話してみました。
アシアナ航空に電話
ホームページで電話番号を調べて電話してみました。最初「Fクラス、Cクラスご利用のご予約」専用の回線にかけてみましたが全然つながりませんでした。日を改めて「一部の電話・海外からのご予約」の電話番号にかけるとすぐにつながりました。
この時すでに、航空券の予約及び決済は行っており、予約番号がすでにあったので説明は楽でした。あまり遠回りに言っても伝わらないと思い、シンプルに
・アシアナ航空A380の成田-仁川線のファーストクラスの座席は解放されるのかどうか
・解放されるならば予約でF座席を指定することができる条件があったら教えてほしい
ということを聞きました。
最初は「確かにお客様はFクラスの座席を指定できませんね」という答えが返ってきまして、「上級会員さんであれば指定できるのでしょうか」と尋ねましたら、「それも現状では無理のようです」という答えでした。
次に言われたのは当日の空港コントロールで座席が解放されるかどうかが決まるのではないかという答えでした。何とも言えないあいまいな答えに旅程自体をどうしようか迷っていると伝えると、アシアナ航空のコールセンターの方が非常に親切で「少々お待ちください」といいすぐに調べてくれました。
3分くらい保留で待ちましたが、割とすぐに調べることができたようで、より上位の予約クラスであればファーストクラスの座席を指定できるということを教えていただきました。具体的にはビジネスクラス普通運賃であるCクラスでの予約であれば可能とのことでした。
その場で運賃額を聞いてみても良かったのですが、ビジネスクラス普通運賃ということで値段を聞くのも怖く、丁寧にお礼を言って電話を切りました。

実際に公式サイトでビジネスクラスの予約クラスのうちCクラスはいくらくらいで売られているのかを調べてみました。
韓国発で調べてみます。
約104万ウォンということで、往復10万円程度になります。
確かにビジネスクラス（Cクラス）と書かれています。
決済前に座席指定はできるので、実際にファーストクラスの座席を指定できるか調べてみました。確かに１階の前方座席を指定できます。ここがファーストクラスの空間になります。ただ、すべての座席を指定できるわけではなさそうです。
というのも帰路も同様の空席状況だったからです。最前列などはブロックしているのでしょうか。
ちなみに日本発でも調べてみました。
日本発の場合、ビジネスクラス普通運賃の航空券代は往復で16万円です。
この場合、ファーストクラスの座席に座れるといってもサービスはビジネスと一緒ですし、ANAにマイルを加算する場合125%と貯まるマイル数は一緒です。
片道2時間で2万円の上乗せはさすがに贅沢すぎるし、メリットがないということで予約クラスを普通運賃での発券はやめました。当日空港で聞いてみるのもありですしね。ノンステータスですので渋い対応をされるかもしれませんが、ダメ元で聞いてみようと考えています。
また、電話では上級会員でもF座席指定は出来ないとの事ですが、これもぜひ調べてみたかったところです。スターアライアンスゴールドでは解放されたりするのでしょうか、座席指定は発券前にできるので、調べたい事柄のひとつでした。
アシアナ航空長距離ファーストに乗りたい方へのおまけ情報
アシアナ航空のA380ファーストに乗りたいという方向けにおススメのサービスがあります。それが「Asiana First Membership」というサービスです。
簡単に言うとアップグレード定期券のようなもので、席に空きがあればビジネスクラスで購入した席をファーストクラスにしてくれるもののようです。路線はロサンゼルス（LAX）、ニューヨーク（JFX）、フランクフルト（FRA）となっておりA380を投入している路線です。
メンバーシップは1年間有効で1300000ウォン。日本円にして13万円程度です。1年間で何回でもアップグレードできます。普通に考えれば格安ですが、予約クラスがJ/C/Dに限られるというところがミソです。
普通運賃に近いということで決して安くはありません、むしろ高額なチケットです。韓国発券で安いビジネスをいくつか調べてみましたが、どれも安い対象外の予約クラスでした。ただ、代理店経由での購入でもいいそうです。
T&Cを見てみると、’’Cabin services are identical with the First Class services. ’’と書いてありキャビンでのサービスもファーストクラスに準ずるようで、席だけファーストクラスというわけではなさそうです。
毎回ファーストクラスに乗る人にとっては、格安なのかもしれません。私は総武線のグリーン車の定期券ですら憧れです。

Objective
The following provision addresses the general conditions concerning “Asiana First Membership”.
Membership Purchase
Only Asiana Club members can purchase Asiana First Membership through branches indicated on our website or instructions.
At the time of purchase, you should agree to receive text messages, emails, and phone calls. Children may purchase the membership with same amount of price with adults, but infants are excluded.
Validity
The membership is valid for one (1) year from the purchase date, and not applicable for extension. (In case the membership was purchased before May 31, 2017, it is valid for one year from the 1st boarding date)
Refund
You may get a refund for an unused membership within five (5) years from the purchase date, and no partial refund is allowed when the membership has been already used more than once.
Restrictions on Transfer
The membership may be used by the person who purchased it, and cannot be sold, attached, seized, levied upon, pledged, or transferred under any circumstances.
Membership Card
Since the membership is issued as an electronic coupon, a physical card is not offered.
Use of Membership
The membership can be used only on Asiana Airlines operating flights, and can be used when seat is available. In addition, the membership is not allowed for a certain period of time due to external and internal problems. Such factors may include weather, maintenance, circumstances in the airport, changes in flight schedules, and etc. There will be no endorsement allowed to First Class of other airlines.
Members must purchase an upgradable business class tickets (booking class: J/C/D) in order to use the membership. Tickets can be purchased on Asiana Airlines or through travel agencies.
Reservations or Changes
Reservations or changes can be made through the point of purchase from 9:00am to 5:00pm on weekdays (weekends & holidays are excluded).
However, changes in routes or dates after departure will be subject to seat availability, and no changes are allowed if the departure date passes the expiration date of the membership.
Mileage Accrual
Mileage accrual will be based on the originally purchased fare class (J/C/D).
Cabin and Airport Services
Cabin services are identical with the First Class services. Passengers traveling on a first class service can access to the First Class lounge, where reserved for first class passengers only. In addition, there is a priority check-in counters, as well as enjoy the free baggage allowance as for the First Class. Other First Class services may be restricted, and seating, amenities and service may vary depending on the flights.
